West Jakarta Received Staple Food Packages from PMI

West Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi symbolically received staple food packages from West Jakarta PMI that will be distributed to urban villages for the residents in needs.

It will be handed over to urban villages and distributed to the residents affected by COVID-19

"Alhamdulillah, we receive assistance from West Jakarta PMI. It will be handed over to urban villages and distributed to the residents affected by COVID-19," he stated, Wednesday (4/29).

He stated, assistance distribution should be on target. It means, related officers should make sure it is received by residents who are trully economically disadvantaged.

"Urban village heads should sort out those who will get the assistance. Please arrange it well thus it can be distributed on target," he asserted.

West Jakarta PMI Head, Baharuddin stated, his side received donation from PT. Palyja and Aetra in form of 6,531 staple food packages. Together with local government, his side distributed it to 54 urban villages in West Jakarta.

"Today is the third day we distribute the assistance to each urban villages. It remains three other sub-districts; Kembangan, Kalideres, and Tambora. Each packages consist of rice, sugar, and cooking oil," he explained.

Meanwhile Jakarta PMI Acting Head (Plt), HM. Muas said, PMI has two activities in handling COVID-19. Those are handling COVID-19 in preventive way and educating residents.

Handling COVID-19 in preventive ways can be done with disinfectant spraying in Jakarta.

"We carried out disinfectant spraying in five municipalities using spray gunner vehicle. It is done to prevent COVID-19 spread in Jakarta," he closed.
